When thousands of facilities managers met up in Baltimore three weeks ago for NFMT 2025, they were there to learn the latest in building systems and technologies and to share ideas for doing their work better.
One theme to emerge from the sessions and in conversations with attendees and vendors at the trade show is that, despite the innovation in the equipment, systems and technologies used in building operations, having the right people has become more important than ever. That means working with technicians and other team members in a way that optimizes their skills – and job satisfaction – because they remain the most important part of facilities management success.
